SCHOOL WORK
WHAT WE DO AND HOW WE DO IT
In order to achieve our vision, a series of programmes are run by
the subgroup. Some have come and gone by various tenures over the years
according to the need of the hour and the voice of the Spirit and some
have been generational this include:
Weekly visitation to schools: This is the major bulk of our work in
school visit; we have schools with in our control in which we assign a
member of the subgroup or an associate visitor who co-ordinate the running
of their fellowship i.e. we fellowship together with the student in
building them upon the foundation which is laid already which is Christ
Jesus
and help them have spiritual backbone in this days of spiritual laxity
lethargy and laziness.
SPECIAL VISITATION: As the name sounds,” special” comprises of
something, which is not usual. In this aspect we have Links with some
school outside our domain which are a little far, what we do is to fix
specify date to pay them a visit in which they provide us with
accommodation and we spend time together with the help of the holy Ghost.
RHODA PROJECT: This project is all about creating an environment
for this Christian to grow. The project is structure in a way to save
these children, then bring them together to a resource center where they
will have access to teachers and materials. The need for this project is
has a result of the already collapse educational system in Osun State
which has taken a serious toil on the students. It will be sad to know
that some Senior Secondary and Junior secondary students can’t read
and write because there is no help coming forth from the schools or
government. It may also sound funny that majority of the school don’t have
enough teacher so they can’t met the basic needs of this students. So this
is just for you to have a picture of how bad it is down here. So the
project is basically meant to help their educational needs.
STUDENT CONFERENCE: this is one of the major vision for this
family. For over the years it started far back as 1986. In which the
student where brought on campus for a three days camp meeting and this has
grown over the years to include student leadership training for leaders of
school fellowship. How we do this, is that we plan towards bring them on
campus for a one to two days programme depending on some factors, which l
will discuss later on. Our aim is to give them series of sections, which
at the end will have achieved the following.
Salvation of soul
Impartation of their spirit man
Affect their perception of the future
Their attitude to their academics
Give them a new psychological view to life despises
all around them telling them to lose hope.
ABSTINENCE CAMPAIGNS: Has the name sound is total abstaining from
all forms of pre-marital sex including anal sex and oral sex. Our aim in
this project is to help this children understand from the bible what God
created sex for and what not far, what the world has turn it to and to
discourage the safe sex message been carried about now and delivered those
bound from strong sexual habit.
This project came about because of the increase in teenage pregnancy in
our government school.
